Update: The Clubroom is open on Friday and Saturday evenings

On behalf of the Alexandria Virginia American Legion Post 24, I would like to welcome you to our Post website. Since our charter in 1920, Post 24 has been welcoming Veterans from all branches of our Armed Forces.  Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country.

Post 24 prides itself in "Serving Veterans and Serving our Community," Our success stems from the many volunteers who step forward to assist in the many community programs and events which we sponsor throughout the year.

Together, our American Legion Family (The American Legion and The American Legion Auxiliary), emphasize preserving our American traditions and values, improving the quality of life for our nation's children, caring for veterans and their families and perhaps most importantly, teaching the basic fundamentals of good citizenship.

Our American Legion Family is the anchor of our success. They do not seek recognition or personal gain. They do it for a sense of self-satisfaction in making a difference for our veterans and active duty personnel, their families, and the community. They represent all that is great about Post 24 and The American Legion.

The American Legion is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization with great political influence perpetuated by its grassroots involvement in the legislation process. Legionnaires sense of obligation to their community, state and nation drives an honest advocacy for veterans in Washington. The Legion stands not behind politics, but the issues and people that institute progress by focusing on veteran’s rights and quality of life.

If you are considering an American Legion membership we cordially invite you to join Alexandria Post 24.
